CHSA AWARD LETTERS

Congratulations to all of our 2007 CHSA Award winners. The CHSA award letters go into the mail tomorrow! Remember – these letters go to all the winners of the Equitation awards and the letters for horses and ponies winning awards go to the person that registered that horse or pony.

If you have not already done so, owners need to email jaycyn195@cox.net, if you wish the rider’s name to appear in the Awards Program instead of the owner’s name.

Remember, according to the CHSA rules, in order to be eligible for Awards, horses or riders must have earned a minimum of 15 points. The two highest exhibitors in any division not earning 15 points will be awarded Honorable Mentions Champion and Reserve Champion Ribbons, only.

Don’t forget to send in your banquet reservations by February 19^th in order to avoid a post entry fee.

2008 CHSA Point Standings Are Here!!

The CHSA points standings and membership have been updated for the 2008 Season.  Please also note the new  CHSA Points Finalization Schedule.  Points will now become final 30 days after posted to the CHSA web site.  After the Final Posting date no changes will be made to that show.

This is the final listing of the winners of the 2007 Show Season. If there are any changes in the spelling of a horse's or owner's name, or if you want the exhibitor listed in the Banquet Program instead of the owner, please email Cynthia or George Jensen at Jaycyn195@aol.com  immediately, since the Banquet Program goes to the printers on February 1, 2008.

CHSA Awards Banquet - Hotel Information

If you would like to stay overnight after the Banquet, we have made special arrangements with the newly renovated Holiday Inn Express (Down the street from the Banquet). The Holiday Inn will also provide a free shuttle to & from La Renaissance (must request by check in time).

CHSA has reserved a block of 20 rooms, but the CUT OFF DATE IS FEBRUARY 15th (No Exceptions) for reservations.  Call the reservation number 1-800- holiday  or 860-627-6585.  Please mention Connecticut Horse Show Association (CHSA) to get this special rate. 

The Room rates  & info are as the following:
Holiday Inn Express
260 Main Street
East Windsor, CT 06088
Room rate--- $89.00 plus tax per Room which includes 2 Double/Queen beds and breakfast. Saturday Check in time 3:00 pm and Check out Time 11:00 am Sunday.

They have a swimming pool! (Heated we hope....) It's under construction :-(

We also need items for the Silent Auction & Raffle Table. If you are interested in donating an item, gift certificate or service (It does not have to be horse related!) please email chsa@chsaonline.com or call Deb Krawitz at 203-927-6189.

CHSA Awards Banquet - We need your stuff!

It's that time of year again .  .  .  . The CHSA auction acquisition drive to benefit our annual scholarships. The Auction will take place during the CHSA Awards Banquet Saturday, March 1, 2008.

We are looking for new, useable auction items.  There will be two categories . . . the Children's Raffle Tables  (items for the under 16 year olds) and the general Silent Auction Tables.  Items do not have to be horse related. 

Last year was extremely helpful that items were dropped off before the night of the banquet.  Drop off points during January & February: 
The Pines Farm Horse Shows (Glastonbury)
  Bouncing Pony Farm (Southbury)
or email Deb Krawitz to make pick up arrangements.

Please label every item with name of donor, value of each item & the item description. 
Unfortunately every year items show up and we don't know who donated them.  If you would like to get your name in the program please get the information to Deb ASAP -  203-927-6189
