Sweetwater Farm - Dec 31, 2009 Horse Show Canceled!!

From Sweetwater Farm:

Now the snowstorm has shifted and they are calling for snow turning to rain and ice to begin tomorrow morning, so now we are canceling the 12/31/09 Sweetwater Farm Horse show.  It just is unsafe to ask people to trailer their horses in those weather conditions.  Have a safe and happy new year!

All CHSA members are welcome to attend

On the agenda will be a vote on Article VIII of the Constitution.

Duties of the Officers:  Sentence # 2:  "He/she (the president) or one of the Vice Presidents with the approval of the executive committee, shall sign all contracts and other obligations of the Association."

2009 CHSA Scholarship Recipients

CHSA Awards Three Scholarships

The Board of Directors of CHSA is pleased to announce the awarding of three scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each to Jenna Burns of Deep River, Jessica Gross of Ledyard and Christen Scarpa of Mystic.  This is the third time that Christen has received a CHSA scholarship.  Jenna and Jessica are both former recipients of the CHSA Good Sportsmanship Award. 

Each year, CHSA awards scholarships to those deserving members who wish to continue their education beyond the secondary level.  The scholarships are funded through member contributions and the proceeds from CHSA Finals and the auction and raffle at the Year End Banquet as well as contributions from the CHSA operating funds.  The amount and number of scholarships is directly dependent on the availability of funds from these sources.

2009 CHSA POINT STANDINGS - FINAL

CHSA Points Standings have been updated with results from the last show of the 2009 season at Pines Farm on November 27-29, 2009.

CHSA Members have 30 days to fill out a CHSA Points issue form to report any issues or problems with your points from the most recent shows. Please check the CHSA Points Finalization Process for a schedule of which shows have been posted and the last day to report any issues or problems.  On January 6, 2010 - The 2009 CHSA Point Standings are Final.

2010 Points and membership will be updated in January 2010. Don't forget to renew your CHSA Membership for the 2010 Season by filling out the 2010 CHSA Membership Form.
