2008 CHSA Point Standings Are Here!!

The CHSA points standings and membership have been updated for the 2008 Season.  Please also note the new  CHSA Points Finalization Schedule.  Points will now become final 30 days after posted to the CHSA web site.  After the Final Posting date no changes will be made to that show.

2007 Final Points Posted

CHSA Points Standings have been updated with results from the last show of the 2007 season at Westbrook Hunt Club on December 1, 2007.

You have 30 days to fill out a CHSA Points issue form to report any issues or problems with your points.  On January 1, 2008 - The 2007 CHSA Point Stanadings are Final.

2008 Points and membership will be updated in January 2008.

CHSA Points Updated!

CHSA Points Standings have been updated with results from the Wincrest Farm Horse Show on November 24 and the River's Edge Farm Horse Show on November 25. Since the last show of the season, at The Westbrook Hunt Club this weekend, is not running Pleasure classes - all of the Pleasure classes have final point totals.

Reminder - CHSA horse shows have 10 days to send CHSA their results and then we need a few days to process the results.  Once we post the results, you have 30 days to fill out a CHSA Points issue form to report any issues or problems with your points.  After 30 days these shows points become final.

Only 5 3 1 more show left in the 2007 Season!  The Westbrook Hunt Club two day horse show is the last horse show of the 2007 season and the last show for points and yes Saturday, Dec 1, 2007 points at Westbrook will count for the 2007 season.

CHSA Points Adjustment

Today we made a points adjustment for Reserve Championships awarded on points within a division (hunters, jumpers, etc.). Unfortunately, through an administrative error, points calculation for Reserve Championships were reverted to the 2005 point counting system.  Prior to 2006 Reserve Championships were awarded 8 points.   In order to make our point system compatible with other association point systems, thus avoiding confusion, the rules were changed for the 2006 season, giving 6 points for Reserve Championships awarded on points accumulated.  Unfortunately, however, for the first few months of 2007, 8 points were awarded in error. 

This has been corrected, so some competitors may find a slight change in their final totals.  This does not affect any ridden or driven Reserve Championships.

2006 CHSA Final Point Standings

2006 CHSA POINT STANDINGS include all shows from December 1, 2005 through November 30, 2006. Please check the listings carefully. Also please check the latest ATC for the final standings.

Point Standings in the ATC include the top twelve competitors in each division for all shows from December 1, 2005 through November 30, 2006. To be eligible for awards, horse or riders must have earned a minimum of 15 points. Awards will be presented to 8th place in Junior classes and to 6th place in all others.

All points listed here, unless corrected, will become final on January 5, 2007.

Check your ATC point standing now. It is the responsibility of each member to keep track of his or her own points and write or call immediately if there is a recording error. In fairness to other competitors, after a reasonable time period, we cannot go back and redo the point standings.

2006 Champion Award Winners

THE CHRONICLE of the HORSE

CHSA will be submitting the year-end champion award winners to the Chronicle for publication in their Annual Horse Show Issue which goes to press in March. The Chronicle has asked for photo shots of division champions (only) in the hunter, jumper and hunt seat equitation divisions. Photographs must be 2006 original action shots of champions, no smaller than 3½” x 5” or larger than 8” x 10” and they must be submitted by CHSA. Proofs, any copy of a photo, emailed photos, photos that are not clear,  digital images or vignetted prints and photos will not be accepted.  Professional photo's must include the photographers’ written permission to submit the picture.

Send your champion photographs to Cynthia Jensen, 195 Wildwood Drive, Cheshire, CT  06410. They must be received by January 13, 2007 in order to accompany the CHSA official results. Questions? Email Chsa@chsaonline.com
