2007 CHSA Membership

The New Show Season starts December 1, 2006 and you will need to renew your CHSA Membership.  Please use the 2007 CHSA Membership Form. CHSA Membership includes a new or a renewal subscription to the Horseman's Yankee Pedlar, if you so choose.  Please check the appropriate box on your application form.

CHSA is affiliated with the United States Equestrian Federation ("USEF") and for the 2007 CHSA Show Season, many shows are also choosing to affiliate with  USEF.  For these shows affiliated with USEF, you will need to be a member of USEF or pay non-member fees at each show.  You can join USEF on line and get your membership card right away.

Also if you are a hunter/jumper rider, don't forget to join United States Hunter Jumper Association ("USHJA") when you join/renew with USEF. If you don't join USHJA,  you will pay a non-member fee of $20 at each USEF rated show.

Good Luck Showing in 2007!

2006 Membership Fees and Application

To our CHSA Members -
December 1, 2005, marks the new CHSA season and renewal of your CHSA membership. The CHSA Board of Directors met in September to set the 2006 membership fees.  It has been nearly five years since the CHSA membership fees have been changed and CHSA's expenses have been increasing year after year.  The CHSA Board voted to raise the membership fees and add new benefits as follows:

* A Junior may now register a horse or pony.

Point Standings

OUR NEW ELECTRONIC AGE

Back in the dark ages when the CHSA members were apprised of their points by the ATC and snail-mail, folks were content to wait for the mail – once a month usually.  Now that we have entered the 21st century – with our own web site (www.chsaonline.com) people can’t get their information and points fast enough.   For your information:

1. Shows have 10 days in which to send in their results.
2. It takes the Points & Membership Person (George Jensen - who does not work full-time for CHSA, but spends many hours doing the hard work of entering all the show data) a couple of days to sort, and verify members and horses and input the results.  This sometimes necessitates contacting the shows for clarification of results.
3. These results are then emailed to our Web-Master, Larry Schwartz, a CHSA volunteer, who updates our website.
4. So, please be patient.
