In November 2005, the Board of Directors made the following change to the point system for CHSA Annual Awards. These changes will replace Rule X C. on page 25 of the current rule book.
As of the beginning of the show year – December 1, 2005, the point system for year-end awards was changed to be in sync with other equine organizations. All classes were to be pointed as follows:
- 1st = 10 points
- 2nd = 6 points
- 3rd = 4 points
- 4th = 2 points
- 5th = 1 point
- 6th = ½ point
Championships and Reserves awarded on points accrued in divisions will additionally receive:
Championship = 10 points and Reserve = 6 points
At the meeting on January 10, 2006 the Board of Directors passed the following rule modification which will go into effect immediately:
“Performed Championship" classes (ridden or driven) will have the following points awarded:
- Champion = 12 points
- Reserve = 10 points
then the numbering resumes as in regular classes
- Third = 4 points
- Fourth = 2 points
- Fifth = 1 point
- Sixth = ½ point
