Last fall 2012, the CHSA BOD approved the addition of a Hackney Country Pleasure Pony
division effective for the 2013 show year.

The specifications for this division are as follows:
Hackney Country Pleasure Pony Division

Open to Amateurs and Junior Exhibitors driving registered ponies 14.2 and under; mares and
geldings only. One attendant to head in the lineup. Pony to be plain shod; bands, bars,
shackles and rubber bands are prohibited to be used on the show grounds before or
during competition.

Hackney Country Pleasure Pony

To be shown at a flat walk, pleasure trot, and road trot (showing a distinct difference in gait).
Entries must halt on the rail both directions of the ring.
It is imperative that ponies stand quietly and back readily in the lineup.
To be judged on suitability, manners, performance, and quality.

Hackney Country Pleasure Pony Champion

To be eligible, ponies must be entered, shown and judged in a qualifying class with the
same specifications. To be shown at a flat walk, pleasure trot, and road trot
(showing a distinct difference in gait).
