The once-a-year affair is coming!
This year’s banquet and awards ceremony will be held at the The Marriott Downtown Hartford, CT. Located in the Adriaen’s Landing District of Hartford, the Marriott Hartford Downtown overlooks the Connecticut River. The Hartford Marriott is the only 4 diamond hotel in Hartford. Best Hotel – Hartford Magazine 2015 and Hartford Advocate Readers Poll – Best Hotel 2015.
The evening will start at 6:00 PM with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar reception. At this time you may look over the silent auction items or distribute raffle tickets to your items of choice . The festivities begin at 7:00 PM with the Parade of Champions – All Lead Rein and Walk Trot 10 and under riders who have qualified at shows throughout the season. Once again we will show slides from winners of this year’s divisions showing during the night on big screens near the stage. Anyone wishing to have their winners shown up on the big screen, please submit all photos to Larry Schwartz at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, February 19, 2016.
This year will see the return of our almost famous “Challenge of the Barns” gift baskets. We are asking barns or groups of people to put together a themed basket to be raffled off during the night. Proceeds go towards our scholarship fund. The basket with the most votes will win the Champion trophy, 2nd highest ticket count will be Reserve Champion and receive a trophy.
The Dinners will include your choice of Fillet Mignon, Dijon Chicken, Vegetable Strudel (Grilled seasonable vegetables layered w/chevre in puff pastry), and Children’s Breaded Chicken Fingers with Fries for children under 12. Fresh bread, salad, Seasonal vegetables and potatoes will be served along with the main dinner choices. For desert individual Flourless Chocolate Cake with Ganache (Gluten Free). Tea, coffee and soda will be served also. The cash bar will be open throughout the evening. Immediately following the awards the room will be cleared for the dancing ‘tip midnight.
